11 amazingly designed candles

Nothing is cozier then lighting a few candles and settling in with some tea or wine at the end of the day. I have two kinds of candles; candles to burn and candles that are purely decor. I burn a lot of scentless tea light and pillar candles for day to day use. As an illustrator, I love to find well designed items for my home, but often really nice candles with the best containers and shapes can be more expensive and I want to keep them around. My solution is to save those and use them as decoration. The 11 candles I am sharing are my favorites, and are chosen for the design first and then scent. Another option is to still burn them and simply save and repurpose by making your own candles in the containers.

Goober Candles at Areaware. My all time favs, these have fun shapes and colors and I will probably never burn mine as they are currently used to decorate shelves.

The Goober Candle is cast in unscented paraffin wax from playful forms originally created by Talbot & Yoon in their Brooklyn studio.

Outdoor Fellow. Scents inspired by places with simple but lovely design.

Skandinavisk. Candles inspired by Scandinavia and the Nordic region with lovely scents like Hygge and Fjord.

In Favor Of paraffin column candles. I love that these candles are completley straight and so many colors! My favorites are Holly Leaf and Beeswax.

P.F. Candle Co. They have so many good scents and cute jar options, and it’s based in Los Angeles where I currently live so it’s fun to shop in person.

P.F. Candle Co. is a Los Angeles-based home fragrance company owned and operated by Kristen Pumphrey and Thomas Neuberger. We believe that fragrance is an extension of your home design, and create high-quality products with accessible price points in mind.

Paddywax. They have too many amazing designs to share all so I just picked a few of my favorites but check them out!

Good and Well Supply Co. They have candles for many of the National Parks and have such amazing design and type that have a very woodsy feel.

Ranger Station. The cutest ranger hat design which can double as a glass after.

Maude. This candle can be used as massage oil when burned and is made with skin-softening jojoba oil.

Homesick. A lot of their candles have scents for where you are from like dates and cities. But they also have tons of other scents like National Parks, Road Trip, and Library so you can get a notslagic smell for all your favorite memories.

Lex Pott. These amazing, double ended twisty candles come in tons of fun colors and shapes. They are also available at Coming Soon New York.

A lot of these recommendations have similar themes. They are lovely shapes, outdoorsy, with simple designs. This my personal preference for my home and add a cozy feel to every room, if you have any favorites please let us know!
