I'm a huge fan of chocolate, so when my freezer stopped working this summer and I couldn't buy ice cream I decided to improvise and ended up falling in love with this vegan shake! The fact that it has no ice cream or milk made me wonder how it could compare, but it turned out to be amazing and even after my freezer got repaired I still make it every week.

It's super simple and the ingredients are all affordable!

Ingredients (one serving):

1 frozen banana

1 tablespoon unsweetened raw cocoa powder

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

(sometimes to switch it up I will add 1/2 tablespoon of peanut butter or 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon!)

Now all you have to do is pour it all in a blender! My tip is to buy a bunch of bananas and peel them, cut them up, and freeze so they are always on hand! I also will use old bananas that are too soft to eat so that they don't go to waste. I got my original idea for this from the amazing vegan cookbook Thug Kitchen and tweaked it, but they have so many great recipes I recommend picking up a copy or checking it out at the library.
